- Sat Nov 10, 2007 1:15 am #29269 i got a d16 z6.....i was wondernig if u guys have any tips on gettin the crank pully bolt off cuz i took of the starter and put the screwdriver by the flywheel to stop the motor from cranking over and that bolt still wont budge...i was thinkin some mapp gas but then i realized the oil pan is right there...any suggestions of helping cuz my car hasnt been runnning for 4 months now and i finally need to fix it

- Sat Nov 10, 2007 1:40 am #29272 you have to use an air gun or air ratchet...i think it was a 19mm but not real sure...you dont have to use a screw driver to keep it from moving either

- Mon Nov 12, 2007 12:40 am #29433 Even with air tools i couldn't get mine to come off. So i took a few of the flywheel bolt and put them in the crank so that they would hold a long breaker bar, that way when the motor turns over it will be stopped by the breaker bar, then using another breaker bar with a long piece of pipe slid over it for more leverage, i cranked on it a little and it came right off no problem. hopefully this helps, maybe it will maybe not. i also had engine on an engine stand, but i did one like this with it sitting on the ground as well. good luck

The tool for the job. works wonders. I have one. just wont work on my b series.....Oh well, I have a honda and nissan shop for that now.
