What's your opinion? Should the NFL cover the Refs' pensions or do the Refs already make enough dough?

- Wed Sep 26, 2012 12:15 am #316509 i call for a boycott, the replacment refs suck, we know that, the old refs make bank(reffing is part time most are full time college profs or lawyers and sometimes politicians) thats not changing, what is changing is the integrity of the game, you want change, boycott. Capitalism works, if they see you stop giving them your money they'll fix what changed till you start giving them more.

- Wed Sep 26, 2012 12:13 pm #316550 Its a fantastic theory to think people would actually boycott... but there are too many people that will still watch and go to games, so that would never work. The players can't strike BUT they should just show up and not try...just snap the ball and sit down on every play.

I feel bad for the replacement refs. Its not their fault. They aren't experienced enough or knowledgable enough to be doing what they are trying to do. They're just trying to do the best they can but with most of them not even having any college football ref'ing experience... whew trying to catch things at the NFL speed while being out on the turf with them.. damn I dont envy them at all. They're just trying to get that money(think I heard $5,500 a game) but I dont know if that would ever be worth it with the scrutany they'll have to endure, forever.
