- Mon Oct 01, 2012 3:55 am #316894 i have a 1994 hatch with 15" 2000 si wheels. i currently have 195/60r15 tires on them. I just lowered it about an inch and a half and when i turn the tires are just barely rubbing the plastic inner fender. If i go to a 195/45r15, will it give me a little bit more gap between the fender?[/img]

- Mon Oct 01, 2012 4:01 am #316895 195/50/r15 is the correct size for our cars 195/45 will be a shorter sidewall. not much rubber between your rim and the road, if you have bad roads you may bend the rims easier.

- Mon Oct 01, 2012 4:45 am #316897 its only rubbing when i turn completely, i imagine if i hit a bump while turning will be pretty nasty. but typically its not too bad. my roads here are ok though, not too worried about less tire.

i have no idea what a 3-5mm spacer is...lol where does that go?

thats the one i got. 8mm thick. got in a pair for like $12 they are aluminum and 4bolt universal

where any local speed shop should be able to get them

it increased the offset of your wheels and spaces them outwards to give you a larger gap between the inner sidewall and the inner fender liner.

since its rubbing on the outer aswell, you may need to roll the fenders and forget the spacer.

that a local body shop can help with to do it right
