LITTLE KNOCK

- Wed Oct 17, 2012 3:05 am #318059 ok well once i get in my car i notice a little knock on acceleration and get louder the more gas i push and goes away when i get to the end of street was thinking was rod bearings so i changed them and they did have some bronze showing about a week later it knocked again its only when cold and every once in awhile it does it. the main bearings also looked good just wondering if anyone had any input probally hard to say with out being in the car lol

- Thu Oct 18, 2012 1:25 pm #318147 If it is rod bearings, there has to be a reason that they keep wearing out. How long did the first set last? Is this a freshly rebuilt motor? Is the timing properly set?
