- Mon Feb 18, 2013 8:59 am #326699 As the title implies I am not able to remove the valve cover bolts. I don't mean loosen them, I mean actually remove them once the cover is off. I had my front right cover bolt strip but I can't take them out, they seem to have a what I can describe as a permanent washer. I'm not sure if that's to keep them from falling out once the cover is removed? I wanted to also replace the cover bolt grommets but I couldn't take off the bolts to do so..

Anyone ever seen that? If needed I could post a picture tomorrow. Thanks

- Mon Feb 18, 2013 1:55 pm #326704 they press against the valve cover with a rubber grommet, which may get stuck over time.

Try lightly tapping the bolts from the bottom with a mallet.

Or a hammer + a block of wood (so the threads don't get damaged)

I'm assuming you're talking about 15,16, and 20 correct? They are all seperate parts. I'm not sure where the confusion is
