Heres my new project.. its a 92 JDM eg4, it was a d15b carb auto


I got the hatch as a rolling chassis, clearcoat is shot from being parked in the sun and i guess being 20+ years old. heres some pics from when it arrived. (sorry about the cellphone pics)



got it into the garage










My plans are :

-Completely strip out interior and get it ready for paint
-Sound deadening removal
-rear drum to disk conversion
-carb to fuel injected the proper way, fuel tank swap, lines etc
-beading flush
-auto engine mount cut off and replace with manual

Then when its back from paint ill be converting to obd1 and transferring everything from my sedan to my hatch

Then ill prob put the sedan up for sale as a rolling chassis.

Started the process on the weekend






then i got stuck with an annoying issue... riveted carpet...



will drill it out tonight, get a real camera and post more pics tomo

managed to finish stripping out the rear yesterday



hatch lid shocks were installed like crap...




so ill have to look at getting some new ones from honda.

Got the carpet out after drilling out the rivets




Blower etc removed, steering wheel put back so i can move the car in and out of the garage




and thats it until the weekend, got to get the deadening out (dry ice) then strip the rest of the engine bay

sound deadening was a pain in my ass, still need to get the residue off and get the harness out.

Got some photos back from him today to confirm if im happy with the colour before he sprays the entire car (its currently primered)

in the meanwhile i diy'd the roof lining as it was falling down



turns out its been recovered before



the original lining was trashed though so i went all the way back to the board.. then got the suede down with contact adhesive

I just need to cut the holes for the dome light etc


got a spoon lip, test fitted it to a spare bumper i have to see how it looks
