#330145 i know it is a little retarded. but, it bugs me that anyone with a 92-95 civic calls it a EG. Does anyone on here have a real EG?

#330147 It doesn't bother me with the EG/EH chassis so much, but it used to really bother me when I had an EJ6 hatch and people called it an EK. :x

My 1995 LX has the chassis code EG8, so I guess that makes it a real EG?

#330149 Doesn't really bother me...it's just a slang term to describe. But then I tell them it's an EH

My future license plate will have "EH3" in it 8)

#330150 I got into a debate with the local "Honda god" in my neighborhood tonight. He said nice eg6 man. I said thanks but its actually a eh3. He went nuts called himself the Honda god of mentor lol and said I don't deserve to drive a Honda. Now mind you I literally put every single nut and bolt on this car by myself, I rebuilt the motor and tranny myself everything. The only time someone else has done anything to it was last week when I had my alignment done.

Btw, the so called Honda god drives a gold dodge stratus with a ricer spoiler and hubs caps. I am gonna post a picture of his car tomorrow. My rims and tires cost more than his entire car probably did.

#330154 doesnt bother me at all.

i would rather say EK/EG/EF to someone and have them understand what im talking about then to say EG6 ect and have to explain it to them.

but what i actually say quite often is 92-95 ex coupe or 96-00 LX sedan or 99-00 Si instead of using the chassis codes.

#330155 88-91 ef
92-95 eg (regardless if it is a coupe/hatch/sedan)
96-00 ek ( same as above including the em1)

I hate when people are like its not a EG its a EH
its a 92-95 then its a EG chassis even your ej1/2 coupe
is a EG chassis

^exactly

The topic does not bother me since i own nothing but hatch's. To me they may have a different vin but i still call them EG's. Since it is easier then explaining year/make/model/chassis.
By rustyrex
#330159 That's what I mean. When people group them together as a eg when my chassis code is eh. That's like saying all rx7s are considered a fd.

#330160 What bugs me isn't so much this

EG hatch is really EH but thanks to swaps, moldings, etc. you can't normally tell. But an "EJ" is NOT an EG coupe.

#330161 Everything on the papers it says its a EG4 and EG3 lol, so i call them EG's :P
Dont forget the Del Sol, also a EG
I never use the word EG6 or it has to be a real EG6 chassis, i have just a EG4 with a D16Z6 and a EG3 with a B18c4 :? :D

EH is typical America, we dont have EH in Europe  ehm i know not in Holland :D

What makes this person a "Honda God"? ie., what are their credentials?

I do try not to use the EG term. I prefer "5th Gen" or "5G" Civic. Then it avoids all this mess and frankly pointless debate.
By rustyrex
#330262 That's what I would like to know. He is 16-17 and drives a dodge. When he called himself the Honda god to seriously thought I was gonna shit my pants I was laughing so hard. I have been into Honda's longer than he has been alive and I would never think of calling myself the Honda god.
By deschlong
#330265 Well the fact that he is self-titled should have been your first clue. I have been called that once (well, about 5th Gens), and it's true I do know a lot, but I don't go around shouting it from rooftops.
