#33462 Has anyone else swapped out their rear suspension, and found that the bolt that attaches the strut to the lower control arm to be seized and unable to get it off? I ran across this on mine, and we were unable to get the bolt out. I just asked a local shop about it and they said the only way to get it out, would be to cut out the LCA, replace it with a new one and go from there. I would think you could just cut the bolt out of the strut? Any ideas anyone?

#33466 yes they freeze up inside the collar of the bushing very tipical. i would just cut both sides near where the strut mounts and replace it with a new bolt but use antiseeze

So it's safe to just cut the threaded end of the bolt out and hammer it out from there?

If I wasn't a broke high school student, I would have gotten new LCA's too

#33476 well where the strut comes down. you can see the bushing in there i cut on both sides of that then get the strut out then get the remaining pieces of the bolt out. you try a penatrating oil?

#33517 Well we tried some sort of penetrator oil, but got nothing. Hell we snapped a craftsman socket trying to get it off. I mean since the bolts not threaded all the way through, I was thinking i could just grind off the nut welded to the strut and then hammer it through.

#33558 same happend with mine. drivers side worked perfect. got to the passenger side and had to cut it off, i tried everything and couldn't get the bolt out of the lca. ended up ordering lca's and going to honda to buy a new bolt. 11 dollars for the bolt 102 shipped for the lcas
