#339299 Yeah I dont plan on going bigger, this turbo is enough to support up to 600. I really wanted to take this car around some turns eventually but I think ill have to save that for my other project. This car will be entered in the 11.50 index class when its all said and done, thats my goal for this car. Anywho things are slow right now, got some bills and other things to catchup on so I don't expect to get much more done until Feb. Ill be collecting some more major parts along the way and wait for warmer weather (starting to be a constant 28-35 degree at night burrr. So I'll see ya guys next season!

#339744 Minor update:
AEM E-85 pump wired and installed
Color choice chosen (82% sure on this) YR-569M

Possible downtime changes:
Fuel line clean-up as per Teal_dx's write up
Bolt boys dress-up kit
S2k master cylinder

Tragic news:
RIP Brian Griffen (I know hes a cartoon dog but still)
RIP Brian Walker (Most people know him as Paul Walker)
RIP Nelson Mandela

2013 Has turned out to be a pretty emotional year for me and others, all I can do is count my blessings and be thankful.

#340388 Still up in the air between top mount manifold or the standard ramhorn. My power goals really dont justify the need of a brand new top mount since the pay off is, the ability to make use of a 4in exit (which I will never need), easier install and turbo adjustments if needed (nice but not worth a $300+ price difference), equal length runners which help with top end power (great for a track only car). I'll probably be going with a ramhorn unless I find a crazy good deal on a top mount. Other than that nothing else to report.

Also after getting the transmission inspected and rebuilt TWICE, I'm still locked out of 1st and 2nd, it went through gears normal with the case both opened and closed, also in order to take apart the case if has to go in 1st anyway. So the only other thing it could be is the brand new innovative linkage I bought was boxed wrong, OR I somehow fucked up when installing the b&m shifter. Either I'm missing a washer or the bolt is to tight? Idk :/

Oh this happened too I guess

#340393 you could have made a mistake with the linkage/shifter install. the first time i installed a short shifter i made the bolgt way too tight and what i though was 1st and 2nd was 3rd and 4th because i didnt think to go gthrough all the gears before i finished up :x i could not get it into the first two gears untill i loosned the bolt up

#340401 I'm gonna try to loosen the bolt today, I pray that works, I honestly cannot see it being anything transmission side. It's always something minor that gives the biggest headaches

#340419 Took a chance, loosened the bolt, and it made no difference. took the linkage back off, this time myself manually tired to shift, again all but 1-2 work fine, played around with it for a bit, concluded that its probably the shift fork. :/ Merry Christmas!

#340729 Trans issue resolved (hopefully) a minor oversight when installing the lsd, sucks that I already pulled out the trans and didnt have to. Either way it was reinspected again and the 1-2 fork and selector rod was replaced, free of charge. Picking up monday and giving it a shot again and hoping for the best weather pending.

Also I'm going to go against my word on something..........ebay. Namely GodSpeed. I'll be trying out a top mount manifold, now ofc when it comes in the mail if the collector looks like garbage or the welds on the runners are offset I will be sending it right back. The ONLY reason why I'm considering this is to sate my curiosity on this particular part. From what I've seen a surprising amount of semi pro drift, time attack and circuit racers are using some of their parts, I'll give it a shot

#340737 Look at number 10 and the parts that go with it. There are two on the case, one is for 1-2 and the other is for 5 and reverse, what happened was the person I had put my diff in made a little error (it happens) and did not put a washer behind the bolt which pushed the little ball to close to the fork thats inside and crushed against it not letting it move.

#340875 So it was actually the stupid soft ass washers (number 21 in the diagram), the bolts were tightened too tight and a slightly crushed washer caused total lockout, that was a HUGE PTA for a just a small oversight. Not upset, just something else to keep in mind haha. Keeping up the pace finally got around to some more progress. :thumb:

#341537 Intercooler ordered, start mocking of piping once its in. This is a fairly large intercooler and slightly overkill, oh well.

Thanks bud! :)

Forgot to mention, I obviously didn't go with the GodSpeed manifold, instead I went with an older peakboost, they do fine and I got it for a steal. Intercooler came in yesterday but it decided to snow so again halts progress, more updates to come in a few weeks.

Stay tuned :)

#341681 Peakboost is good stuff... I have ran their products since 08!!!
