well i have had my ITR about 3 weeks now and im loving it.
most of you will know my last car was an EG SiR2 with a B18c Type R lump under the bonnet... because of this the ITR didnt really feel that fast. dont get me wrong, it still put a smile on my face
but what i was impressed with was the chassis! my god, its just amazing! even in standard form... people have told me in the past how good they are compared to civics, etc but i never really new how good they are til i gave mine abit of a caning
anyway, i paid 4.5k for mine with 1 years MOT, 6 months tax, fresh import and with all of 59k on the clock.
drove very well, no problems at all.
anyway, heres a pic of it how it stands at the moment.
it was 100% stock when i got it which is what i wanted... a blank canvous to paint on so to speak.
first thing i did was a full service and replaced the clutch, flywheel and thermo stat.
soooo....
- engine oil
- gearbox oil
- HAMP oil filter
- Spoon Sports spark plugs
- Spoon Sports drop in filter
- Spoon Sports 4.2kg flywheel
- Spoon Sports organic clutch plate
- Spoon Sports clutch cover
- Spoon Sports release bearing
- Spoon Sports rad cap
- Spoon Sports rear window sticker
- Spoon Sports 4-2 section manifold (had one lying around the work shop)
- Spoon Sports low temp thero stat
had a look under the car while it was in the air and noticed the rear trailing arm bushes are worn quite bad so they will be replaced very soon! prob after x-mas now because im skint.
so, when i had my lil B18c powered civic i was all about engine mods and going fast... now this project i want to go fast but mostly around corners. lol
so engine wise i am happy with performance if the ITR (for now. lol)
so first off im concentrating on suspension, chassis and light weight mods.
thats all for now, when im board again i might list up everything that i want to do with the Teg... the missus says i aint aloud doing anything until after we have bought our first house which is about 6 months away yet
but what she dont know wont hurt her. lol
i'll post up some better pics soon aswell when ive had chance to give the car a "Gunn79" style cleaning. lol
