#42809 Stefan, it sucks man :(

Sell your car and buy a other coupé.

This thing is giving you bad luck all the time.

Not an option, tho I admit I've thought about it...
Buying another coupe is expensive, and you still get the same b/s;
crappy engine, wear on undercarriage, rust on known places, worn interior... loads and loads of work I don't have the time/money/room for.

I'm not selling this car before I can afford a 12-15k car, and I think this car should run out of bad luck real soon.

#43140 Did some work on the car today, like cleaning the airfilter, removed some stuff;
vacuum hoses,
solenoid cover,
cam seal,
disconnected the clutch cylinder from the tranny
disconnected all wiring to/from the engine.

All that needs to be done for removing this great power plant now is ;
disconnecting the fuel lines,
remove oil and coolant,
disconnecting the exhaust
disconnecting shift linkage,
removing engine mount bolts,
disconnect the p/s line.

I also bought a second hand PW:JDM heatshield gasket for cheap from a guy who is stripping his Sol, so that will be a nice extra :)
Also, a set of Ferrodo DS2500 brakepads F+R should come in one of these days, now to find a buyer for my dead B16 :(

#44698 Back from a very nice wintersports vacation...
And ordered a load of shit for the car when I got back;
- MOMO Race steeringwheel
- NGK spark plug wires
- two black eBay oil catch tanks
- two Tenzo'R breather filters (why Tenzo? because those come in black and are cheap ;) )
- DIN triple gauge pod

This morning the TNT mail man delivered my Ferrodo brake pads, but I won't install them untill my B16 gets swapped, I want to break them in better then I can on the way back from the shop.

Also sorted out the wiring of my performance gauges, and removed the gauges from the A-pillar.
So now they go into the mid console, and left the AFR gauge out, thing was driving me nuts and didn't have any purpose (narrowband y0).

Received the gauge pod when I was finishing installing the USDM third brakelight (was never available in Europe) from a DPD mail man.

Also spray painted some brackets from the engine bay;
- clutch fluid reservoir
- plug bracket near clutch reservoir
- fusebox
- radiator catch tank
- bracket on i/m holding the throttle cable

Also removed the radiator and put it in the trunk with the rest of the parts.
I want to remove the oil, but I can't reach the under side of the car now, so that'll have to wait.
Untill then, I can't remove the head.
Image

Now I'll have to wait for my spark plug cables to come in, and the catch cans, breather filters and steering wheel.
B16 swap will be in a few days though, prob. a week or one and a half.

#44867 nice one bro, i'm thinking of getting a 3rd break light, but idk yet, cause i wanna do all round limo tint, would it show? lol

#44894 Limo tint as in fully black?

I don't think it'll show :wink:

If you mean only a slightly tint to it, yeah, it'll show.

And I removed the gauges from the audio console, that DIN thingy is crap as hell, just finishing mounting them on my dashboard, pics will be up in an hour or so.

Also got the word from the shop that my car will be picked up on monday or tuesday, and prob. be ready wednesday :woot:

#45772 Weird; yesterday afternoon I received an email saying my sparlplugs were mailed, and this morning I already had them in, nice work ESR Performance :thumb:

Also picked up some stuff from the local Honda stealer, like a new distributor cap, rotor and screw (old one was stripped by the last owner :? ), a t/b gasket and one of those plastic isolator rings that space the fuel rail.

Day before yesterday I painted the fugly top of the stock fpr flat black, and also the front and up side of the fuelrail itself... looks a lot better IMO.
At least I found one good thing about blowing an engine; you can take apart and work on the things that you wouldn't disassemble when the car would be running great.

Tonight Gerben from Honderdelen ('Hparts') is coming to pick up the car, can't wait till it's ready again :woot:
