no that is why you have to convert your car to the 4 wire o2 sensor
The vx uses a 5 wire wideband 02 sensor. the P28 uses a 4 wire o2 sensor. if you try to run your 5 wire o2, the p28 will be all like WTF :eh: and car will run like crap.

- Fri Feb 29, 2008 1:40 am #44101 the 4 wire won't just plug in because it doesn't fit the plug for the 5 wire. you could do what you described but you'll need a haynes manual, and you'll need to understand the wiring diagram in it. you'll have to follow each of the 4 wires from the o2 sensor and find what pins they are going to on the ecu. then you'll have to re-pin the harness if any of them are not going into the right pin. You might have to pull a couple pf the wires out and move them to the right pin on the harness. You would also need the male & female sides of the o2 plug and solder it into your existing harness. Then you could get by with just ignoring that 5th wire and just leave it not connected to anyting on either end. it's not too hard, but for your first time doig electrical work I might have someone with experience do it so nothing gets fried.

- Fri Feb 29, 2008 4:12 am #44120 I can't do the install over the internet... you have to follow the wires from the ecu into the engine bay. You have to have some experience working on electrical stuff, but not too much. read the wiring diagrams, understand them, then find the wires in your car. I don't really have another advice, it's the kind of thing I can show in person but not type over the iternet. maybe if you post pics i could help :?

- Sun Mar 02, 2008 1:05 am #44315 YES YES YES I GOT 1 YES !!! ok i gave the guy my # and he called me and he said he will custom make me one and is putting it on ebay TONIGHT !! for 25$ shipped out he said it will plug straigt 2 the original o2 harness and he includes the 4 wire sensor i finally found it AND GUESS WHAT TEAL NOW I WONT BUG THE SHI^ OUT OF U AND KEEP ON ASKING U QUESTIONS !! THANKYOU FOR ALL THE HELP AND IF U COULD PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO POST BIG PICTURES ON HERE SO I CA NUPDATE MY BUILD AND FW PICS OF MY QUESTIONS THANKS A BUNCH !
