- Fri Mar 07, 2008 3:16 am #45304 ok i have a b-7 bottom end, and plan on doing a y5 head swap for the time being, and then a z-6 head after its built. will all arp head studs work for me or no? are they reusable as well?

- Fri Mar 07, 2008 3:46 am #45307 when I put a y8 head on my d15b7, I used a d16z6 arp stud kit. I was aboe to use all but 2 of the head studs. the 2 back corner bolts I has to use oem y8 head bolts beecause the arp studs did not fit far enough in the block. This was in 2002, they might have more options now when you order.

- Fri Mar 07, 2008 2:01 pm #45369 Does a Z6 head differ from a Y8 head in that, if so, get a Y8 kit.
But that would mean you'd prob. have to buy those 2 bolts again when you slap on the Z6 head, en hope they sell those bolts individually (so not only in a kit).

I'd contact ARP, and if they don't sell the bolts ind., try stock bolts for the time being, and buy a set when you put the Z6 head on.
