Problem with knock off spoon wings they dont fit like OEM and sometimes leak. Also they tend to fade much quicker since they just spray clear coat over them, which is not the right way to cure them.

The thing with REPLICA fogs they tend to short out or the bulbs go out fairly quick. I have been at ICB many times and when i am there they get a lot of phones calls about getting the real JDM fogs cause there Replicas broke on them.

also the wiring used in these kits are fairly poor and burn or short out fast.

i have replica fogs (depos) that i bought like 3 years ago and now they are on my bro's car and never had a problem with them, they are working great still

As of right now i dont have the money to buy all those real part's since im still in school, and i try to make the best out of my money. So i do buy replica's but i dont put badges on and try to pass it for real. If its a replica im going to tell you its a replica

- Tue Mar 11, 2008 7:08 pm #45797 I Voted, "OEM JDM" MOST of my car is OEM and a few JDM parts... I have rocked replica shiz but not currently. I could care less if people buy replica's, My thoughts are: Why spend GEESH moneyz on a MUGEN lip just to eff it up?(autoX/the strip) Unless you have a show car there really isn't a point to spend that kind of money... But there are some things that you dont want to sacrifice quality/performace for a cheap price. I guess it all depends on what it is and what you are going to do with it!
Not saying anyone on here thinks this BUT.... I think the mentality of "Its shit because its a replica" is pretty retarded. Just wondering but If you have to/or do take medication do you pay full price for the Brand name because the generic is just a replica?

In drugs, there is an active ingredient (same in brand name and generic) and additional ingredients (That's what varies in the generic, and that's why it's not copyright infringement). In drugs, the brand name company wastes money on research, advertising and such. Generic companies don't have to spend ANY money on those things, which is why it's cheaper, NOT BECAUSE THE INGREDIENTS ARE CHEAPER OR DIFFERENT.

However, brand name car parts and replicas, you get into difference in quality and materials. Just my $0.05 haha.

Ya I also speaking from a pharmaceutical background totally agree and understand where you are coming from.... my little two penny point was that regardless if its a replica or not it will serve the individuals purpose! and you coming from pharmacy know that lots of peeps are CRAZY about brand name because "generics dont work" and others are crazy about generics because "its the same thing, just cheaper" you know what i mean haha same goes for parts imo its up to the buyer/builder/enthusiast to determine which is better for their own needs/purpose. but I guess this is to purpose of this thread haha Im tired and probably talking out my butt.
