Good old Dalton McGuinty at work.

One of his election promises was a new holiday in the winter. Thus he created "Family Day". I won't go into it too much, but basically all it's done is cause a lot of controversy over who gets it off, who gets paid time and a half and now the people who don't get it off are fighting and negotiating and the only ones REALLY benefitting from this promise of his are the lawyers doing the contract negotiations :hehe:

All of the schools from Primary to Universities were forced to rearrange their curriculums to arrange for this new day off, in the span of a few months. It's been a fun circus to watch. And honestly, how many people will spend it with their families? Very little will be open in terms of entertainment, the malls are closed as well. It's winter, what the hell is there to do? lol. Stupid government...
