#50335 well today we were putting my car up on jackstands to do some work on it, and i hear a loud crunch, i go to the other side and my freind put the jack on the floor and dropped the car down, so it punched a hole in the floor and moved it up about 2 inches, i was able to step on it from the inside of the car and push it back down, but now i still have that round peice ot metal that just kind of sits there. wondering whats something easy i can do to fix that, people were telling me fiberglass and tar over it and the shops wont notice when getting safety, and my dad says to pop rivet a peice or metal over where the hole kind of got punched in. this is purely temporary just so i can get my car on the road asap for work, then down the line i will get the floor repaired once my freind moves into his new shop, just wondering what you guys think would work better and would get me to pass safety.

#50406 i'd like to see some pics if possible, but what was suggested will work. eventually I would weld in a new piece of floor panel cut from a donor car if possible.

#51287 got it fixed properly. what had happened was it broke a couple spot welds and bent the floor up, i worked my majic, ripped the carpet out and welded it back down, the civic is not on the road :woot: damn i love this car.

#51721 Grind down the floor where the hole punched through, then weld on a plate there and grind down the edges so it looks decent.

thats a boo boo accident
