Couple weeks ago I accepted a job as a kayak instructor for the summer. Most non-Canadians won't have a clue what I'm talking about, but I'm leaving tomorrow morning at like 5am for Algonquin Park up in the middle of Ontario.
If you haven't heard of it, I suggest you google or wiki it, it's a national park about the size of Rhode Island
filled with dozens and dozens of lakes and rivers and the interior is very dense woods.
So anyway, I'll be working at a camp within the park for 7-16 year olds. My two co-instructors are female, schwing. It's a pretty great deal. I get paid to kayak 4 hours a day while tanning in the sun, swimming, horseback riding, wind-surfing, they have everything there. At night we're free to do whomever - I mean WHATEVER - we please
. Instructors for every activity live in staff lodging which is like dorm-style rooms.
The sad part is, no work on Baxter or intense civic-eging for three months. There are some computers to use but dudes, when I'm not out having a blast I'm gonna be passed out from exhaustion. I get to drive the car up there which'll be a nice 5 hour drive through back-roads and some scenic areas, and then of course drive my car on my days off and go into town.
I wish everyone the best summer and hope yours are ALMOST as good as mine, I will be back in 3 months and hopefully with a plethora of pics
