I dont want the car to be black, indeed i wanna leave the color as it is right now. anyways, thank you for your suggestions about maintaing the motor and all.

Get some new plugs and wires. - Autozone(?)
Flush the coolant. (check thermostat and fan switch) Autozone(?)
Check the cap and rotor. (how?)
Clean that air filter or get a new one. (new one from?)
Check engine timing. (where or how?)

interior wise, i just got the repair manual from ebay($1.99 no one can beat that!!!!!!!!!! lol), and planning to tear the whole thing out and put some new parts with dynamat. what you think?

Get some new plugs and wires. - Plugs are fine from the parts store. I use NGK. Wires you can get but don't be cheap. Look on ebay and see if you can get OEM ones for a deal.
Flush the coolant. (check thermostat and fan switch) - Check them first. Make sure that the fan comes on when the car heats up and make sure the car doesn't overheat
Check the cap and rotor. - Undo the screws on the cap and take it off. Look for oxidation or wear on the cap or rotor. If it looks old or worn get new ones
Clean that air filter or get a new one. - Autozone should have it. Make sure you get one that has the same diamete outlet on it as the one you have now.
Check engine timing. - If you don't have a timing light or know how to use one it might be easier to just have a friend do it that knows how.

kim.ry wrote:a friend of mine, who lives in cali as a mechanic, told me that even though im missing power steering and A/C, i could put that back on? what parts do i need in order to do this right? and where could i get them?

Yes they can both be replaced. Ebay is a good source as well as local junkyards. I would get a list before going so you know exactly what you need.

Power Steering - Not all civics came with power steering so make sure yours did. Look around in the FAQs to find out how to tell the difference in the racks. If it did you'll need to get a new power steering pump, line, reservoir and hose. Hopefully whoever took out the PS looped the line on the rack to keep it sealed. You'll have to take that off and hook up everything the way it was and fill the system. It's fairly simple and should be in your repair manual.

AC - Has alot more parts and is complicated. I took mine out cause I'm green so I dont know a lot about it. In your manual it should have all the parts you need. I would focus on getting all of those for now and then worry about getting it working. Hopefully someone else can give you some pointers on this.

#60732 WOW....
last night, i tried to take out my interior trim and carpet and everything with the repair manual, but....i FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x
however, i was able to get the seats taken out. After work today, I will try to take out all the panels out of the interior, and the doors. Oh, and when that is done, I will post pictures. :D

#61633 guys, ive been reading few threads from here, and i saw a guy who built his eg with 39mpg city? wow. and he said something like if he didnt consider the performance of the car, he could even get more mpg?
could someone suggest any ideas for best ideal mpg possible without any attention from cops? I do not like ricey, nor loud stuff. according to the pictures that i have posted last time, I am trying to swap those rims with stock steelies with new tires. Ive also got to go to few local junkyards, and look for stock oem springs, because apparently the car is lowerd as fuck. exhaust wise, ive got one from ebay for buckfifty but its way too big and shiny. I am thinking painting flatblack? all interior parts are except dash with steering wheel and two chairs on the front. lol. its a mess, so i will try to clean it up and post up pictures of interior. Anyways, any suggestions for BEST MPG ideas? Tuning wise, where and how to get it? sensors? I think Ive got d15b7? :thumb:

#61976 Hondata will work too. You can hook up on any engine you want. Leaning out the fuel will give better gas milage on any motor. Try to get a trans with long gear ratios, that'll help also.

you find usually find them from tuners swapping it out for something more powerful, like on craigslist

on ebay they sell for like $350-$450

#62356 instead of spending 350-400, can i just put that money into investment on lightweight rims, i was looking at kosei k1 racings?, and ecu, and tuning? tailgate and oem springs are going to be here soon, so after i put them on, I will post pics. :thumb:
