What would you have to do if a rod knocks at a high rpm? i mean obviously a rod is broken but i mean like would i have to send it to a machine shop to be fixed? or just replace it? or does it depend?
FOr the work, you're looking at new bearings and probably getting the crank micropolished. Bearings are cheap but the labor is not. The sooner you stop driving it, the better the chance your crank won't get trashed.
If it is a very faint knocking, it could be pinging from pre-detonation, possibly from the timing too advanced.
