I liked the olive drab at first but then I saw the green you painted it and I like that color even more :thumb:

thanks! the paint booth worked pretty good. I had two cieling fans running up at the peak of the rafters, and the fans under the door did a real good job with ventilation. between base and clearcoat I took off my resperator in the garage and could hardly smell paint. but I should have blocked off the opening made above the garage door by having it cracked open like it was, a couple bugs got in...

yea, it gets pretty pricy... i'm mostly just worried about exterior pieces that wear out after 20 yrs. also clips, screws, bolts, nuts and caps that break or rust. plugs and grommets that have been painted over really piss me off too. i'm not gonna get too crazy with the oem, as there are some parts i cant justify spending so much on. but doing a decent exterior makeover requires new everything to make the car. imo.

nope, the parts they didnt send me were either backordered with no future eta, or discontinued. which sucks. that pic above is just some other crap i've been waiting over 2 months to get..

#71403 got bored last night so I decided to paint an extra master cylinder that I had frm the crx. It was pretty cool because I realised that my hatch has a 13/16 mc and my spare is a 7/8. not a huge diff. and not as good as a 1". but it is better than whats on the car.

I started by scuffing it really good with some maroon scotchbrite and wiped it down with some RM 900 wax and grease remover. to get the dust debris and brake fluid off it, and sprayed it with some Dupli-Color Aluminum enamel. not sure how good it will hold up, but I gotta learn somehow. I also added my new reservoir cup and bracket.

#72000 My side mirrors were pretty scratched and knicked up, and the side moldings were painted gloss black. disgusting. I tried ordering new side molding sets, but they're discontinued. Then I tried emailing them about getting them individually, but never got a response. And I just cant justify paying $290 with shipping to get new ones from Password.

So while I was picking up my paint + supplies I grabbed some SEM trim paint. I can post up the part number if anyone wants, but it basically is supposed to look like the raw plastic that our molings were meant to be. I did 3-4 coats with a 4 minute flash time between coats. it was kinda tricky at first because some spots when dried were lighter then others. The moldings didnt turn out perfect, but I'm happy with them. Before there were a ton of dirt nibs, runs and nasty chips. Sorry I didnt grab any before pics of the moldings, but I dont want to remember what they used to look like.
