new to eg how to tell if i got a si??

looked on password jdm and i was lookin at parts and i have the eg6 door panels
i want to kno if this is a si
i am new to civics i am a acura person but ive turned a new leaf can somebody tell me which model may eg is? o yea and how goo is this d15b? because i only kno about b series.

Electric Sun roof
Electric mirrors
color keyed molding
VIN should start out like this
2HGEH33 (NOT 23)
you might have D16Z6 motor (unless previous owner swap it out and you can tell if it has been swapped out because most of the time. the bolts are Gold colored if never been taken out before)
you have rear disc brakes
you might have ABS if you have 94-95 Model
You have armrest
You have gauge cluster that has a tach that goes up to 9K but red lines at 7200
IF YOU HAVE AUTO TRANS YOU HAVE A DX
ALSO ON THE TAIL GATE (if it hasnt been messed with) it will say "SI"

maybe the old owner blew the stock si motor and put the d15 in?? because the motor does look like it has just been swapped in because it has that yellow writing on the head that part dismantlers use to identify the inventory..the tailgate dosent ever say civic or anything
did the si come stock with front lower fogs?

LIES!!! Armrest does NOT mean you have an SI. I have two 93 Si's and neither have an armrest.

Rear Disc Brakes would be the easiest way.

it was an option but it sounds good hahah everything else should "sound" true

check the VIN # is the easiest way, you can always change everything else except the vin # :thumb:

- Wed Oct 08, 2008 9:13 pm #73367 A lot of the si's mostly came with options. For example, my 92 si didn't come with either power windows or locks, nor did it have the rear speakers and armrest.

Like they said, best way to find out is by the moon roof and mirrors. Also the stock SI should have a cluster that redlines at 7200rpms. The mirrors should also be painted the same color as the car along with the stock rear wing.

Mine did come with a cargo cover, and 14" honda hubcaps lol. Only the SI's came with 14" steelies.

i mentioned those. Someone else did too.

I have yet to see a hatch with power windows and lock stock from honda. From what I have seen it wasnt even an option for the Si.

i also mentioned it too lol but i said electric not power lol


only hatches i seen that were powered doors where conversions... i dont think NORTH AMERICAN cars came with that rarity of an option just the 02-05 did
