#65996 Go figure this one.... First a lil' history. When I first got my car (5th or 6th owner), this thing was "ghetto". No muffler, A wire coming from battery ran through driver side fender to a button just hanging out on the dash than wire running back under hood to starter. Coolant fan switch had a wire coming directly from battery, and ground wire wired directly back to battery ground (this guy must have not known that vehicle body is ground.)

Any how I go to take off the short ram air intake pipe, and one look into the TB and see a little piece of newspaper. I go to pull out the little peice, it turns out to be a wad stuffed into what looks like the Idle Air passage, after that wad comes out, there's another wad inside the passage.

Can some one please tell me what this ingenious McGuyver Brok-anic was thinking?

#66018 Hey $500 for a clean body that ran (although extremely loud and no low end power because of no resonator or muffler) w/ a good running D16Z6 was worth it to me. Luckily, I am some what of a specialist when it comes to wiring, so all that was an easy fix. A B16 swap was already planned before the money was even transfered.

#68151 im sure it was some rigging that some genious thought would make power by making the air go straight into the intake lol but then again i have no idea maybe they thought the engine wanted to read the funnies
