Back from the dead. I weighed my hatch the other day and it was 2100lbs exactly. Ive got CX with absolutely no options, CF Hood, full interior, and a z6 swap.... and my 10lb school backpack I forgot to take out.

lightening? CF body parts (hood, fenders, tailgate), stripped interior, use only the necessary suspension bars, lightweight wheels, no rear seats, no spare tire, lightweight rear lower control arms, and all that
this one guy i know didn't want to replace his tailgate and hood with CF ones, so he just drilled holes on the cross-beams (or whatever it is you call the frame-like structure that's under the hood and inside the tailgate that makes it stable and sturdy-like
), then stripped everything.

Erm
could some one translate those weight figures to kilo's for me
being Scottish we work different metric systems, i have a stripped interior, lightened lower control arms, manual steering, no air con, manual window winders, removed all sound deadning, replaced the sunroof with a carbon kevlar bung, got buddyclub 5kg driver and passenger seats, lightweight wheels, one bad point is i have full weld in roll cage tied into all of the suspension mounts, well bad in that it weighs about 40kg but good as it makes my car extra stiff and safe lol.
Oh forgot also replaced all windows but the windscreen with polycarbonate items, so also removed the rear windscreen wiper and mech, oh and with autronic ecu there was no need for most of the wiring in the car so all redundant wires are stripped out also, and got rid of ABS and its wiring too.
phew erm cant think of anything else at the moment, i dont have scales to weigh it so people can guess what it might be, it does have a K20A2 now though rather than the B16A2.

Most places like Daltons that weigh scrap metal have scales you can use
Just need to find one that dont mind you using it for a minute
