on the throttle body some one next to the map sensor... you will need a flat head to adjust it

don't forget to disconnect your battery afterwards to reset the ECU

adjusted the idle control screw and it didnt help. the car still keeps dying. could it still be the iacv? i put an iacv on from a d16zc and it fit but still died. also when the car is cold or when i first turn it on it runs but at a low idle like 500. then once i take it to the street or i give it some gas it drops rpm and dies.
HELP me please!

does your car have the check engine light on? If so, what is the code?

for future reference, that should be the first thing you do.
Everything you've been tinkering with since Nov 21st could have been a complete waste of time/$$ if you have not checked the code to see what the real problem is

hope you don't think im calling you an idiot when i suggest this - but - are you running a cold air/short ram air extension of any kind? i bought a 93 si this weekend for 1000$ because it 'didnt run' - literally what the email says.. anyways showed up and once i pulled the cone filter out of the cylinder it started right up and idled fine. this guy had his intake cone filter pushed so far onto the intake pipe it was plugging it with the plastic body and not letting air pass, just not letting enough air to start the motor... i know its silly but pull the filter off and try again, you just never know..
p.s - about the buy - i whirled it a couple times and hearing it trying really hard to start, i checkedvthe rotor and caps and wires.. all good.. i went around to the rear end to see fuel pouring out of the exhaust.. this plus the weird sound it was making trying to start made me think it was not getting air... i pulled the filter off and it went vroom... needless to say he was pissed, and had already accepted the 1000 bucks so there was nothing he was doing. he also told me when it ran, it wouldnt get over 4000rpm because i dent in the oil pan doesnt permit the pickup to get enough pressure for vtec - load of trash. as soon as it started and warmed up it went right to the rev limiter no problem lol...and the oil pan is brand new oe replacement, the factory swell is the dent he was talking about... not only all this but i get it home, start tearing it down to check it all out, and its got a full tein supersport kit, fully adjustable camber kit, new bushings all in the front end, rolls on a really nice set of volk ce38's with decent rubber... the thing is so virgin it still has all the factory plastic shrouds around the front end. Wow. also needless to say; im stoked. period. sorry for the long read, but man, im kinda a happy guy. car is black with type r rear lip, mugen front, black and painted a couple years back, power sunfoor, pioneer premier head unit and clarion door speakers. i cant get over how lucky i am to be the one to find this car.. unreal.. sorry for the long read, but it will amuse most!
