#81099 [smilie=BangHead.gif] oh yeah, and i absolutely love the performance. :headbang: be sure that if you do the upgrade that you change to the 40:40 proportioning vavle and upgarde the master cylinder and booster to the 1" setup.

#83285 There is a big weight diffrence between 5lug and your 4lug, are you sure you want all that extra weight.

IMO the only reason to get 5lug is if your building a type r, or trying to convert an integra to a type r.

#83436 hes right there is a big weight difference between the stock and the type r but the type r's rear disc is a half inch larger than the civics stock front disc. with the stock wheels on it i can't fit my pinky finger between the rim and caliper in the front. the stopping power is far more superior.

how is there a big weight difference?... and if you are so sure of the weight difference please explain how much heavier are the 5 lug rotors compared to the 4 lug rotors?.. last time i had a set at the shop there was not that much difference in weight in the rotors...the trailing arms are same too! also the ITR LCAs are no heavier then the fork style LCA. and plus if there was you can always get lighter rotors, lighter wheels, lighter control arms, hell even lighter lug nuts too.. soo point in case there's not that much difference except maybe the wheels.

#83474 Nah bro, there is a big weight diffrence, and the performance in the braking is still the same a the stock civic, unless your using it for the track or canyons, where you'll be braking a lot.

Cause they take longer to heat up.

how big of a difference taking consideration on my friends 4door ex before he sold it. it didnt change the weight on his car....

i dont see how it would make it heavier going from the 4 lug to a 5 lug...

they all use the same training arms (even ones with the drum rear is the same trailing arms), the control arms pretty much weight the same, the rotors are questionable.. the 5 lug rotors would be a little heavier taking consideration that is a little heavier. but if you can point what it is making it heavier i'll believe you..from all the stuff i have messed with i just cant see how it is heavier.

How can you say that there is no increase in performance as far as braking. That is a flat out lie! There is a huge difference in braking between My stock 93 Si brakes and My friends ITR swapped set up. You cant honestly say that a 9.5" front and 9.4" rear disc brake will preform the same as a 11" front and 9.5" rear. The surface area alone means there is a decrease in stopping distance. The weight gain between the two isnt at great as you say either. I have had both in my hands at the same time. Rear brakes wise, its just the rotors that are heavier(because they are Bigger). In the front the caliper is bigger and the rotor, so it will weigh slightly more, but not enough to worry about. The performance increase in braking negates the slight increase in weight. I have driven the ITR 5 lug swapped EG, and EK, and I personally have a stock 93 Si brake set up and a 93 Si with the Teg front brakes and stock rears. I know for a fact that the ITR swapped 5lug stopped way better. There is no comparing the three. Bigger brakes perform much better.

#83795 the front rotors, the calipers, and the bracket for the caliper is larger. and the same as the rear also as far as spindle and rear trailing arm i am not sure there is much of a difference. i think the front spindle is a little bit more beefy also. i know all together one spindle verses the other there is several points in difference but i am no scale. i would not trade me itr sized brakes for anything else.
