- Fri Jan 30, 2009 8:44 pm #93351 hey guys im new here and i need some help for my cuz. he recently bought a 95 hatch with a d16a6 we didnt know that we would have some problems with it. so here it is when he turns it on it revs up nice like it has some big balls but when the temp goes up it begins to missfire and when you accelerate it wont rev higher than 2 grand and we dont know what it could be. so if anybody could help it would be great thanks.....

- Wed Feb 04, 2009 7:48 pm #94197 well what we found out that the engine is from a 88-91 civic and the intake is from a 95 civic and the computer is from a 93 so dis shit is messed up but we found out that there was some rust in the gas tank and dat was the reason why is was missfiring. so its still acting funny do you guys think if we change the computer to a 95 itll run fine....???? thanks for the help....

- Wed Feb 04, 2009 7:52 pm #94198 No, you need a computer from a 88-91 Si or wagon 4WD. You will also need the original injectors and injector resistor box. The D16A6 injector setup is not compatible with 92+ ECU's. Also the distributor sensors are incompatible.

Basically you would need to convert to OBD0. I suggest you sell the motor to someone who has a 88-91 Civic.
