i bought my hatch with the intentions of building it up with a turbo motor and having a decently nice car... after picking it up and driving it home i knew the stock z6 and tranny was just not gonna cut it. so before dropping it we gave it a good thrashing. the motor smoked, bad. like... bad. and it only had 231 thou on it. to oil that was in it didn't come out when you pulled the drain plug, it was the type you need to take the pan off and scoop it out with a spoon.
anyways, to the fun part. after multiple rev limiters and 1st thru 3rd pulls and laughing at how beat the thing was, i let boosted94 have his turn. we went down the road and after his first couple easy gears he was marvelling at how bad the tranny actually was.. so he puts his foot in the revs at 50 kilos and pulls it from 3rd to first with no clutch... it takes it wit not a sound, still with in his foot in it he does the same to second, takes it, no clutch, never outta the pedal at redline, same with third and then off the throttle he gives it 4th, then proceeds to do the same thing going backwards. rev and chuck, no brakes from 120 to about 20 where he starts going thru gears again. only this time he doesnt hit 3rd, rather he goes from 2nd at 7600rpm to 1st and locks both tires solid... we limped back to his place, took the motor and tranny out and tossed the rotten ol tranny in the woods and the motor was sold to some guy a couple towns away who says after a fluid flush it worked great and hardly smoked a pinch..
