- Fri Jan 23, 2009 2:51 pm #91836 You need to put small dabs of Honda bond on the 90 degree corners of the gasket. Otherwise oil will leak out.

The cheap stuff will work, but honda bond works better. It's cheap and easy to come by, so why not? Good mechanics use it on everything; not just Hondas.

as stated above put it on the 90 degree anlges you know where the cam caps are on each end so oil wont leak out... you can use the Grey RTV (i think its grey) or Hondabond.. even Catapiller works really good.


this should give you an idea where to put it when you put your gasket on..

btw..thats not my hand... for the record lol

- Wed Feb 11, 2009 2:49 pm #95696 i used the grey rtv rated at 650 degrees,seems to be holding up no leaks yet , i let it run for about 20 minutes,when i get the rear suspension done ill tell you if it holds up
