#168989 yea you have a cable speedo. You will need the speed sensor/what ever it is, out of a 4th gen (ef) civic to make that work. 5th gen (eg/eh) have a speed sensor, and no cable.

#169061 yeah dude i had the same issue when i did the mini me swap
my dizzy didnt line up.

Image

with the dizzy i had on it only one bolt would go in
it made the timing off 180 degrees
the car wont struggle to start,
that dizzy had the bolts in a Y pattern
the on i needed had the top bolt offset

not sure if this helps

#169196 if you use a y8 head, the stock dx dizzy will bolt right up.

As for the z6 head, you will want the z6 dizzy. Im not sure what other ones will bolt up.

#170642 2 things I just thought of...

Perhaps when you shaved the surface .5mm, you compromised the mechanical timing and may need to use an adjustable timing gear for your cam to get the engine back in to time. Maybe you are trying to compensate the mechanical timing being off by adjusting the ignition timing which can not compensate.

Also, did you remove the oil control jet from between the #2 and #3 cylinders on the block?
