Seriously whats the purpose of that balance shaft. I know taking it out completely you gain about 8-10whp.
But what's the purpose of it. what does it balance excatly??

is that a fact that u actualy gain hp from removing it?

It's a fact from Bisimoto. But it's a process to remove,. you usually do it when your getting the block machined, bored sleeved and stuff. Just wondering if i really need it and what's it's purpose...

#251731 no...i wouldnt say so.....imagine your motor in the engine bay and everytime 1 and 4 piston is up you motor leans foward and every time 2 and 3 are up motor leans backward.....thats what the shafts eleminate....with out them there isnt much of a difference ... in a v6 the 3 cylinders on one side counter the 3 cylinders on the other so its already balanced

#251796 Aha. but wouldnt upgraded motor mounts prevent the back and forth movement. but you this is internally. lol..

But removing and blocking yields more power, but you have to get that balanced crank pulley to help.. which makes sense.. ..

Just looked over the parts at honda with discount it's over $300. lol. both belts, both adjusters for the belts and water pump.. smh.

Mooze, would the h23 non vtec belt fit the h22a? just curious. Or is it too small due tot he height of the head being a bit smaller? IM just loking for a gates Racing blue Belt Since they are stronger. Just a little upgrade you know. What do you think. ?

Mounts should hold the motor in place fine...the crank is pretty well balanced stock. yeah if you go to a stealership your going to get robbed.... you can find oem parts other places than stealerships....the manual tensioners i used i just took off a f22's....same thing

#252661 Just found this video again. Its from Best Motoring and it features some rather cool prelude powered race cars, ie the Toda F3 and the old JTCC Accord with an H22 with sequential. Just Thought some of you guys might be interested.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyC8cKV1vY8

And this is just dope as well. Such a fresh build, you can actually see the header burning to blue as it heats up for the first time. Easy to see why these cars are so fast with only 200hp from the B20.
