#312295 Veggies, eat lots of veggies. Lean meats: Eggs, Chicken, Fish, Ground turkey. No high fructose syrup. Drink a shit ton of water. Limit the wheat and grain intake, if anything some BROWN rice. Cottage cheese/milk are good for casein protein (slower digesting, keeping you fuller longer) which is good for night time to keep the protein available for your body to feed on while you sleep.

Some/most people cant go all in on cardio/fitness on your first day/week. Set goals you can commit to. 10-15 mins a day for a week.. then once you commited to that for a week boost up to 20-30 mins daily. This will help you stick to a routine and help you reach your goals. In the beginning, less is more.

Once you get broken in to a routine. Try HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Go all out on cardio (running/eliptical anything really) for 1-2 mins and drop down to a slow pace for 30 seconds for you to barely catch your breath then repeat that for 20-25 mins.

Kettle bells, Battle ropes and body weight excercises are great.

See sig for more details on becoming awesome. Vote Chance!

#312352 eating healthy is expensive for a broke college student so what I do is watch my calories and avoid high sugar and high fat foods.

I'm sticking to eggs for the past 2 months - as in omelete and whatnot.

Im currently on an internship and the apartment they have me living at has a shitty gym, but it has some free weights and cardio equipment.
My knees and joint have been acting up a lot in the past year or so (trying fish oil and cod live oil and it seems to be lubing the joints a bit) so what I'm doing eliptical cause its easy on my joints.
i do 30 mins on elliptical and according to the little screen on the machine i loose 500 calories per sesh plus extra from weights.

According to Wolfram Alpha my metabolic rate is in 2,000

in the past 2 months I went from size 38 pants to 34. my goal is to get down to low 200s and then work more on the upper body and lower cardio time.

Farmers markets for veggies... Bag of frozen chicken breast... box of brown rice or bag of Quinoa. Covers most lunches and dinners for a couple weeks.
breakfast.. Oatmeal, eggs, milk... covers that for a few weeks. Its not as expesive as you think. you can surely budget it in. But do what you can either way.

Keep in mind... Fat isnt the enemy. Look into it. You need fat with most meals to absorb more of the nutrients. So you need avacodos, Nuts, coconut oil, olive oil or fish oils daily as well to help with all this.

once i get back to AZ I will def start shopping more for veggies, its just midwest has high prices on vegetables and fruits - all has to do with soaring gas prices here. I mean 4.19 for unleaded?! FML!

and i totally agree about the benefits of fats but thats true in small to moderate amounts. I just avoid high fat foods because I rather spread my fat intake over a day versus all at once meal

#317067 dude you wanna get tone and fit and lose weight and feel good about yourself and love everysecond of it find a local CrossFit gym, its the shits, it's hard and it hurts but when your done and laying on the floor sweating you really accomplished something and you're proud. and it's not meant to bulk you up or anything it takes the human body and brings it back to where it should be; a lean, tone, strong, capable, hunter. just check it out if you try it (most gyms have a free first try) you'll love it
