#346498 I am planning to sell my drum set for new suspension setup and catback exhaust. I am gonna get full coilovers but I wanna go lower. I've been reading into drop forks for the front but just curious on how I can drop the rear more also. Let me know guys. I want her slammed :D

slammed? get bags lol
you could look into drop spindles and modified trailing arms. like these:

spindles ^
all they do is move the wheel hub up on the spindle or trailing arm to lower the rest of the car.
only gives you about 1.5-2 inches of drop and you run the risk of smashing your oilpan, and theyre really meant for showcar use not street use. they also usually arent tested as far as durability goes.
if you wanna get low without bags, get some cheap stuts and some coil over sleeves.
alot of the miata guys who are slammed and static are using racelands. no sense in destroying an expensive set of coils to go super low.
also, i extremely recommend extended top hats. keeps you from bottoming out as bad.

my setup, and i was scrapping subframe on flat roads at one point, was koni yellows with ground control coilovers and extended tophats.
ride was harsh, but i could go even lower than i was.
koni/gc combo can go really low. check this video out:

its an integra, but its pretty similar suspension.
good luck with the hunt for slammage! :thumb:
sorry for the novel lol

Andre3th0u wrote:I was probably gonna get the raceland ultimos, what brand top hats would you recommend? that teg was slammed, my roads wouldn't allow that.

Its gonna depend on whether the racelands springs are rounded at the top or flat. If they're rounded you're gonna have to run stock. If they are flat then you can use GC extended tophats or mpc Motorsport tophats.

It might be more cost effective if you have someone local who can modify the stock hats and extend them. Unless you are really really low you're only gonna need extended hats in the front. The rear has a lot mor shock travel.

#346560 We just put the raceland ultimos on a jetta last week in class. His were flat on the top. I have thought about making them. I might just pick up a set of extra top hats from the junkyard and get em made. Thaks for the help man!

the ultimos for the eg look to be flat on top. i also read you can cut off brake line bracket off and slide the shock a llittle further down through the fork to get a little extra drop.

#346562 Judging by the pic of them on this thread it looks like they have a flat top. Also looks like that brake line bracket trick might not work on em.
But for 400$ they're cheap enough to buy and mess with. My konis are getting sad after 6ish years of hard driving and I'm even considering them.

#346595 I've been thinking about it and I'm considering the koni/gc setup. Did you get the koni yellow sport or race? I see 2 different yellows on their site. And I'll probably get my roommate to weld my top hats together to save some money.

I got the sports cause the race spec ones were out of stock when I ordered them.
I also recommend either new hard rubber or polyurethane top mount bushings. Actually I recommend doing all of your bushings if you haven't already. :thumb:
