I've a '93 eg8 (sedan) civic with d15b2 engine (DPFI, jdm, M/T).
The issue is the following:
when the engine is hot, and i'm driving in stop & go traffic, the idle goes crazy. sometimes the it revs at 2000, then I push a little on the pedal, after it drops to 500, or stops. If I turn on a few electical things like heater fan, headlight, rear window heating idle drops to 500. After i press the pedal it goes up to 1300. Otherwise it runs good, but this thing drives me crazy.
I set the idle speed like the manual says several times but it's still bad.

What I already checked: PCV, EACV, Throttle plate, (air filter, fuel filter are new, oil change in jan. 2008)

What else can I check, replace, clean?

#40814 Check the fast idle valve. Sometimes it backs itself out and does that shit to my D15B.

Its behind the little brass plate on the backside of the throttlebody. There are 2 little 8mm screws holding the plate on. Take those out along with the plate.

Then there is a little valve there. A brass valve with a pin in the center of a spring and a white plastic threaded piece. you need to use ur fingers or some tool to screw the whole thing back down inside there all the way.

As long as your idle is already properly set, and your timing is good, this should solve your idle problem!

yep, but it says "Except D15B2", and I have a D15B2, so I have to look at the second pic.

#42449 I cleaned the eacv with wd40.
it seems to be a little better, but the problem is still present... :(

#42491 had this problem on my f22 in my cb7 cleaned and replaced every thing, then i checked the intake and low and behold the gasket was torn badly replaced it and the car ran normal. check for a leak using a spray bottle full of water and a little soap spray onto the intake as it meets the head check for air bubbles. i'd almost bet on it worth a shot any way you look at it.
